It was indeed a delight as the delta state governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan yesterday, commissioned an entrepreneurship centre for micro, small and medium scale shoe producers in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government area Of the state.

The 4000 training capacity skill centre is built in collaboration with the united nations industrial organisation UNIDO.

According to the comrade governor, the centre will help in training youths thereby empowering them, serve as a wealth creation venture as well as serve as a source of job opportunities for many youths in the state and beyond

Commending the youths and leaders of the community for their cooperation during the building of the centre, The governor said his administration had touched the lives of the young people at the lower segment of life.

According to the state commissioner for poverty alleviation, Dr Anthonia Achiedu said apart from being a training centre,  "it contains various industrial components from shoe making and leather works, palm wine brewery, bakery and confectioneries, flour processing, fruit juice processing, ethnic clothing, weaving, jewelry and millinery.
